It was my pleasure and my honor to attend The 23rd Annual 2010 Global Leadership Conference & U.S.A. International Black Belt Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Conference Weekend on November 12-14. It was wonderful to see old friends and make new ones from the United States and around the world.
Missing from this years event was the physical presence of Dr. Marty Manuel but his Spirit was alive and well represented by his students. A great Martial Artist,Sensei and Man. You are missed my Brother in the Martial Arts.
My thanks to Dr. Tom LeBrun for nominating me for The Diamond Crystal Award of Spirit and to Grandmaster John Kanzler for inducting Alan McGraw with the Outstanding achievement Award.
It was also my pleasure and honor to present a Kabox seminar to my fellow Martial Arts colleagues. My proudest moment came when Soke Kanzler announced Phoenix Martial Arts System at the banquet dinner that evening as he presented me with my Award.
A special thank you to my students. Because of you the Phoenix continues to rise!

This Saturday 6/19/2010 two powerful forces come together in one seminar. Not only Martial Arts meets Yoga, Kabox meets Road Home Empower Yoga, Phoenix Martial Arts meets Vinyasa Power Yoga, and Martial Artist meets Spiritual Athlete. Aimee DeRoehn and I team up to do a seminar that will put Martial Arts and Vinyasa Yoga together. Martial Arts has its roots in yoga and meditation, it is only natural to combine the two disciplines. Aimee and I are passionate about what we do and we believe in the fact that it can heal and empower every individual that participates in our class. And on top of this you will have fun as well.
You know about Kabox but here is a little about what Aimee has to offer:
Hey Spiritual Athlete! What an honor to be part of YOUR NEW BEGININGS and YOUR journey to revealing your Authentic Personal Power!

Take a popular KABOX Class from April 26th through May 1st and at the same time support Frank Hanes solo cross-country bike ride for Prostate Cancer research.
On June 1, 2010 Frank Hanes, co-owner and innkeeper of The Inn at Manchester, will leave Anacortes, Washington and pedal his bike east for almost two months until he reaches the Atlantic Ocean on Maine’s rocky coast. Frank is embarking on this once-in-a-lifetime event to bring attention to Prostate Cancer and the need for additional research funding. To learn more about his journey visit http://www.innatmanchester.com/ridewithfrank
To support this event I invite everyone – first time and returning Kabox students – to enjoy an energized fun workout that week and $10 of your class fee will be donated to Frank Hanes’ Ride for Prostate Cancer. This is an important cause so grab all your friends! Current KABOX members are encouraged to make individual donations that week in whatever manner they choose. (But let’s show our commitment to health and be generous!)
Remember – KABOX is for everyone, not just fitness fanatics – everyone works out at the exertion level that’s best for their body and fitness. So KABOX is right for little Billy and Aunt Sally – bring the family! Let’s rally behind Frank and this important cause.
